Families, students, and workers from Iglesia Ni Cristo gathered at the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City demanding government transparency and accountability over corruption issues.

On June 30, 2026, thousands, including Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) families, students, and workers, congregated at the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City to support legislator Rodante Marcoleta and call for accountability from individuals involved in corruption. Participants traveled from outside Metro Manila to engage in the massive protest, with some making long walks or taking leaves from work to attend.

The demonstration was marked by a mix of solemn commitment and communal atmosphere, with families turning parts of the protest site into picnic areas, while many endured traffic disruptions caused by over 13,000 protesters occupying key lanes of EDSA.

Several political figures also joined the rally, including former congressman Mike Defensor, who openly declared his refusal to hide amid looming plunder charges alongside Marcoleta. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano and Congressman Leandro Leviste expressed solidarity with the call for transparency and justice. Former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson also participated in the evening session.

Protesters voiced concerns over perceived government harassment and sought fair application of laws, emphasizing the need for openness and integrity in governance. The event underscores ongoing public scrutiny of officials amid corruption allegations in the Philippines.
