The Manila Economic and Cultural Office has officially announced that travelers with Taiwanese passports can enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay of up to 14 days, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
The Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) has declared that individuals holding Taiwan passports are permitted to enter the Philippines visa-free for an initial period of 14 days. This policy aligns with reciprocal visa-free privileges currently extended to Philippine passport holders traveling to Taiwan. MECO clarified that this visa-free entry is strictly non-extendible and cannot be converted into other Philippine visa categories. Travelers must still meet standard entry requirements and procedures previously established as of July 1, 2025. Those Taiwan passport holders who wish to remain in the Philippines longer than 14 days are required to obtain the appropriate visa prior to arrival. This visa-free program is effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, as per MECO’s official statement.
