Philippine President Declares Special Non-Working Days in Various Areas for February and March 2026

Several municipalities and cities across the Philippines have been granted special non-working days by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. through official proclamations.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has officially declared special non-working days in various parts of the Philippines from the final day of February through late March 2026. These declarations were authorized by the President and formalized through proclamations signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, as per an advisory from the Office of the Executive Secretary issued on February 28, 2026. The following locations and corresponding dates have been designated special non-working days:

– February 28, 2026: City of Tangub, Misamis Occidental, for its 58th Charter Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1169)
– March 6, 2026: Municipality of Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte, for its 4th Araw ng Gutac (Proclamation No. 1170)
– March 6, 2026: City of Tadian, Mountain Province, for the Ayyoweng Di Lambak Ed Tadian Festival (Proclamation No. 1171)
– March 10, 2026: City of Tanauan, Batangas, for its 25th Cityhood Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1164)
– March 10, 2026: Municipality of Norala, South Cotabato, for its Founding Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1165)
– March 13, 2026: Municipality of Bauko, Mountain Province, for the Begnas di Bauko Festival (Proclamation No. 1166)
– March 17, 2026: Municipality of Tayug, Pangasinan, for its Founding Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1176)
– March 18, 2026: Province of Masbate, for its 125th Founding Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1167)
– March 19, 2026: Municipality of Kawayan, Biliran, for its Charter Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1177)
– March 19, 2026: City of Canlaon, Negros Oriental, for Pasayaw Festival 2026 (Proclamation No. 1178)
– March 24, 2026: City of Tabaco, Albay, for its Charter Day and 25th Cityhood Anniversary (Proclamation No. 1179)
