Light Rail Manila Corporation inaugurates a round-the-clock parking area to serve commuters at the Dr. Santos Station as part of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension project.
The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has opened a new 24/7 parking facility at the Dr. Santos Station of LRT-1 located in Parañaque City. This development aims to accommodate LRT-1 commuters who prefer to park their vehicles and use the train service for their daily travels. The parking area is managed by GlobalParking Management, Inc., offering 93 slots for cars and SUVs, and 100 slots for motorcycles and e-bikes.
Parking fees are structured as follows: for cars and SUVs, PHP 40 for the first 5 hours with an additional PHP 10 per succeeding hour; for motorcycles and e-bikes, a flat rate of PHP 30 for the first 8 hours plus PHP 5 for each subsequent hour. An overnight parking fee of PHP 100 is applicable from 10 pm to 7 am. To ensure security, the facility is equipped with 24/7 security personnel, CCTV surveillance, and automated boom gates.
Persons with disability (PWD) and senior citizens are entitled to free parking upon presentation of valid identification.
The Dr. Santos Station, along with other stations such as Redemptorist, ASEANA, MIA Road, PITX, and Ninoy Aquino, was inaugurated in November 2024 as part of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension project, enhancing transit access in the region.
