Indian Ambassador Sudhakar Dalela and Two Other Envoys Officially Accredited to Nepal

India's new ambassador along with envoys from Laos and Panama have formally begun their diplomatic duties in Nepal after presenting their credentials to President Ramchandra Paudel.

On November 6, 2026, three newly appointed ambassadors formally assumed their diplomatic responsibilities in Nepal by presenting their letters of credence to President Ramchandra Paudel in Kathmandu. Among them was Sudhakar Dalela, the new resident Indian Ambassador to Nepal. The other two envoys, representing Laos and Panama, are non-resident ambassadors who also officially began their duties during ceremonies held at the President’s Office in Maharajgunj. This diplomatic accreditation marks the formal commencement of their roles in strengthening bilateral relations between their respective countries and Nepal. Ambassador Dalela’s presentation of credentials underscores the ongoing importance of India-Nepal diplomatic ties, which are crucial for cooperation in development, trade, and regional stability. The appointments also highlight Nepal’s role as a diplomatic hub for South Asia and neighboring regions.
