After visiting Mexico and talking with tens of local people, the idea is that Mexico is a beautiful country with a lot of corruption at all levels. A lot of this corruption is related with the USA and CIA, drug traffickers are not safe to be around and they are everywhere. in every major place whether that is called Tulum, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Mexico City and so on. What locals say is that avoiding to go to the cities where they are from such as Sinaloa the place of El Chapo, Culiacan, Chihuahua etc then you ll be ok. But the question is really how safe can you feel when you know there is a slight chance that somebody might come and shoot at you or your family without a reason? Or on the other hand, why would you want to risk going to a place for holidays that you won’t feel and secure?

Usually, the people that go there are people that seriously ignore the facts or they are looking for an adventure. Furthermore, it is not usual to target tourists but of course, you never know what might happen tomorrow. Except for the islands in the Caribbean that belong to European countries or the USA  plus Cuba and Chile the rest central and south America is dangerous to visit. The politic fluctuations for the past decades, the economic problems, the regimes as well as the finger of the USA do not allow the area to rest and prosper. South America with the Latin Temperament, the beautiful people and the nice monuments is an amazing destination but corruption and drug trafficking are an issue that doesn’t seem to have an end.

The food in Mexico and the beautiful restaurants you will find in Tulum offering modern creative cuisine will surprise you. The service, the environment the contact everything is truly excellent. The bohemian style of the hotels and restaurants situated right on the beach is a phenomenon. But on the other hand, you might see a dead person in a taxi shot in the head. Unfortunately, the Mexican Government does nothing to resolve all these issues and it is a pity because without this the tourism would flourish in such a wonderful country.
